Challenge:The Highway Information Systems product had a centralized system. Road sign message and location changes were made from only one office. Highway customers had to visit the actual road sign locations to update the messages and they were not able to utilize any web-based capabilities.
Solution:We created a web-based management software solution which allows Highway customers to make sign and sign location updates from any computer. It also gives the public a way to access real time road problem and traffic speed data. Highway customers can now make updates using a visual interface, changing sign content and placement with drop and drag functionality.
Benefits:Both Highway and their customers can now access the product via a web browser. This has increased the installation efficiency and has made the process friendlier to the end user.
